Congratulations,
your firm as just been awarded its
biggest, most complex project to date. Let the sleepless
nights begin!
At Paramount we
can help you sleep a whole lot easier. Next to the estimate the biggest
risk a contractor faces is project implementation and management. Our
experienced staff, with successful on-site field experience, up to and
including 20+ million dollars, will assist your firm in the proper
initial staffing and setup through project closeout of your project and
monitor progress throughout the life of the job.
Project
Setup
Project setup
includes initial contract review, site staff assessment & selection,
physical site setup (including optimum lay down area selection), site
communications, initial material purchasing (optimum buyout), sub-tier
contractor negation, CPM schedule development (with or without resource
loading), proper paperwork tracking & documentation (P.O’s, RFI’s,
Submittals, Change Orders, Daily Field reports, Forman Logs, Meeting
Minutes, Sub-tier documentation, etc), progress tracking methodology and
more.
Project
Progress
Based upon client
needs Paramount staff can continually monitor progress reports and make
recommendations on how to improve project performance. Should the client
choose not to avail himself of this service but find himself in trouble
at any time during the project, Paramount staff is available to trouble
shoot the project and help get the job back on track.
Project
Closeout
Paramount can assist the contractor with project closeout by providing project
management staff with early & on-going punch list development, proper O&M
development, final change order negotiation and resolution, force
reduction scheduling and demobilization. As contractors, your clients
(GC’s & Owners, etc) really only remember how you start a project and
how you finish a project. The effort expended during the project often
gets more or less forgotten. Prompt and thorough project closeout
promotes repeat business and enhances a firm’s reputation.
Project
Postmortem
One of the most
important but overlooked aspect of a completed job is the Project Postmortem. It allows
the contractor to review all the issues that affected the project, both
positively and negatively. This process allows the contractor to utilize
the lessons learned on future projects. It also provides the company a
basis from which to begin amassing a historical database that will
assist the company with future marketing strategy and estimating
accuracy. Paramount staff can assist in both the development and
facilitation of this activity for those contractors unfamiliar with the
process.
