Mr. Bergman, although a founding member of the firm,
joined Paramount Associates full time in early '2005'. He brings with
him over 20 years of experience in mechanical contracting, process,
heavy industrial, underground utility and highway & bridge
construction.
Prior to joining the firm he completed
several high profile multi ($5 - $30) million dollar underground and
utility projects for some of the most demanding clients in the country
such as, Disney and Universal Studios.
From mid '2003' to early '2005' Scott, in
his capacity as Senior Project Manager for Quam Construction Company of
Minnesota, completed underground utility & site work projects for various
cities such as, Lamberton, MN and Walnut Grove, MN.
Between 1996 to mid '2003', Mr. Bergman was
Senior Estimator for Johnson Brothers Corporation in charge of
estimating and securing all work in the southeastern part of the
country, most notably in Florida.
From 1985 through 1996, he specialized in
water/wastewater construction (ranging from $11 million to $58 million)
for various well known and respected national firms such as, Harris
Mechanical and S.J. Groves & Sons of Minnesota and Danis Industries and
Shook, Inc of Ohio.
To date, Scott has completed projects in
Minnesota, Ohio, New Jersey, Massachusetts, Virginia and Florida. He has
prepared estimates, on a consulting basis, for the likes of Guy F.
Atkinson and others. He holds a certified Underground and Excavation
Contractor license in the State of Florida as well as a national
Certification for Crane Operators (Lattice Crawler, Lattice Truck, Large
Telescopic and Small Telescopic Cranes).
Mr. Bergman has attended Bethel College
1976 - 1979 and the Dunwoody Institute 1983. He is considered an expert
on such topics as estimating, project management, construction standards
and industry practices, loss of labor productivity and damages
(quantum).
